There are some benefits of being a Wellness Plan member such as routine exams and vaccinations. However, treatments and medications are still at very high costs. The Wellness plan just went up again this year. The service is adequate, but used to be a lot better. For a long time now - (years), it’s been very difficult to reach anyone by phone to make an appointment or find out how our pets are doing. This is very discouraging and frustrating. I hope this feedback helps to improve things. I’m nearly to the point of looking elsewhere and I’ve been a loyal client for nearly 20 years! John Tocco

Dr. Krishnan took excellent care of our pup Axel. He went through an annual check-up, teeth cleaning, & tooth extractions. The care he received was too notch. When we discovered he had an aggressive cancer in his mouth, Dr. Krishnan was with us every step of the way through the discovery & acceptance process. She was incredibly patient and answered our numerous questions & concerns. When his quality of life dropped, Dr. Krishnan & the rest of the staff were incredibly supportive and patient throughout the process. We could not have asked for a more peaceful process. We now have two new pups and they are also going to Banfield in Hamilton. Regarding the Wellness Plan...we had it for Axel & we have it for both our new pups. The only negative thing I have to say about the plan (not the location) is that when Axel passed, I had to continue to make the remaining annual payments / cover the discounts on the services provided. I would completely understand if I voluntarily chose to leave the plan. However, doing this b/c a dog dies is incredibly brutal and does not seem to be a good business practice.

I was a little confused, prior trips to Banfield I received a print copy of the details of my pets visit. I did get a call from the Vetnarian explaining things but it went to my voicemail and it was transcribed badly
